Christmas 2012

01ff5b7Ray: Brad and I got together to discuss some things related to Christmas last year but we never ended up posting our get together. I decided to post this anyways even though we are late in posting it.

The passage from Jeremiah which we mention in the video as quoted from the Simplified King James Version Bible

HEAR you the word which the LORD speaks unto you, O house of Israel:
2 Thus says the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen,
And be not dismayed at the signs of heaven;
For the heathen are dismayed at them.
3 For the customs of the people are vain (empty):
For one cuts a tree out of the forest,
The work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
4 They decorate it with silver and with gold;
They fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it does not move. (Jeremiah 10.1-4, SKJV)

    No. I can change “saith” to “says” as I read.
    “They deck it?” Helpful would be “they paint it.”

    • Thank you for your help. We are getting the SKJV Old Testament ready for sale. We will adjust the word deck to decorate as a result of your help. The New Testament has been available since 2010 but we do not intent to print it again until summer 2013.
