Ray: people don’t realize that the word “Soul” in the KJV bible is based on the Greek word “Psyche”. Most Christians don’t seem to realize that the science of Psychology incorporates that word soul in its name. Yet if you were to ask people in this profession if they deal with men’s souls as I have, they will tell you that the soul is the domain of religion they do not deal with the soul. But do they? Another word in the Bible is “Sorcery”. Most don’t seem to know that when the Bible predicts that the world will be given over to “Sorcery” at the end of the age that the Greek word for sorcery is “Pharmacia” from which we get the modern word “Pharmacy”. Pharmaceuticals are one of the main tools of those that are in the Soul profession today who make liberal use of Sorcery. Freud invented the subconscious to explain mans actions. If things are controlled subconsciously then we cannot control our behaviour. Where as the Bible teaches the conscious, not the subconscious and the Bible teaches that our conscience is a moral guide that is God given that gives us an innate sense of right and wrong. Freud also taught that people are “religiously repressed” and the answer to such repression is to cut oneself off from religious counsel. However by the 50’s the word “Religious” was dropped in front of “Repression” and it is now simply taught as “Repression”. Perhaps this is why Psychology has begun to make serious inroads into the Church. I have studied this topic for years but have not found the time to write about it as there are other projects I am currently working on. I encourage you whether you are religious or not to watch the following video by the Berean Call. Ray Luff: This is the take that Ray Comfort has about Noah. He feels that these facts are missing in the Noah Movie which is coming to the theaters. The following is a quote from Ray himself about this video clip.
In the time of Noah, people were going about their daily lives, not mindful of the impending destruction. Like them, are we ignoring warnings of God’s coming judgment? The Bible gives us clear signs of the last days. Did you know the Scriptures say we will see:
• Flippant use of God’s name
• Money-hungry preachers and rampant hypocrisy in the church
• Wars and rumors of wars
• Denial of a global flood
But surely no educated person could believe that Noah and his ark ever really existed. Wouldn’t it be impossible to fit millions of species of animals into one boat? And what evidence is there (if any) for a worldwide catastrophic flood? However…what if it did all happen exactly as the Bible says? What would that mean? Who was Noah, and why is the amazing account of his life so relevant to you in the 21st century? Don’t be caught unaware. Time may be very short. Will you be ready?
A movie by Ray Comfort. This is not the Russell Crowe film.

Ray: Dominic Miller, Sting’s lead guitar player describes his spiritual quest in the following video. He asks some profound questions. He has not found the Lord Jesus Christ as of yet on this quest but I pray that he will.
In this 5 minute clip Domonic asks these questions;
1. Might everything start with the relationship between you and a somebody or something?
2. Might you have the opportunity to recognize this and to create your own story?
3. What story is waiting to be told?
He states that the most important thing in life is not my being a musician.
In this video Dominic bears his soul and asks “Are you prepared to be naked, blemishes and all”. He refers to the outer appearance but asks about letting people know what’s inside.
The Bible has some answers for Dominic.
Jesus said that it is not the outside of the cup that is important it is the inside that matters. What is inside a person matters in the light of eternity, not their outward appearance or accomplishments.
The Bible says there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. Dominic and anyone reading this post can come to know that friend, the Lord Jesus Christ and have a personal relationship with him. Jesus said (in John 14) that he will prepare an abiding place for you in heaven but he asks you to prepare one for him in your life. He says that he wishes to manifest himself in your life. The answer to Dominic’s first question is that everything begins when you form this relationship with that someone, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ray: I recorded a concert featuring the Crusaders Mens Choir and the Voices of Joy Choir at Springdale Christian Reformed Church this past Friday, Feb. 28th. The scripture says that “the joy of the Lord is our strength”. The Joy of the Lord ought to be our main purpose in life. Some of us have great career opportunities and great wealth. Others lead a meager existence with little opportunity for worldly gain and what the world might call success, but there is one thing that defines our humanity that makes us all equal before God. We are all sinners in need of forgiveness of our sins and we are all headed for a lost eternity if we do not repent of our wicked ways. The thing that we all need desperately is joy in our lives. The kind of joy that will carry us through the death of a loved one, sickness and suffering that this world brings. The kind of joy in which you can rest assured that you will have an eternity with God. The joy that is found when we come to our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. Listen carefully to this concert and see if the joy they express speaks to you. If it does make it your determination to experience that joy first hand and start a dialogue with your God and Saviour, the Lord Jesus.
As you will realize if you watched the video above. The choir “Voices of Joy” features adults who have been affected by learning disabilities. The following video is one that also shows the happiness and joy that these folks can bring into our lives. They are a blessing to us as well as a responsibility.
Ray: Several years Ravi wrote the book that this talk is based on. In it he describes Christianity as it relates to other world views. This message is one of Ravi’s signature messages and well worth listening to.
In this message Ravi asks if we are truly seeking the truth? A good question that aligns with the questions we have at truth is what matters.
As always we would be interested in hearing your comments on this topic.
